Europeans love bottled water, long before North Americans fall for it. I personally would like to watch a televison expose done by one of the German commercial TV stations, something similar to the one below:

When I fly, the only occasions I have highly possible contact with the lavatory tap water are having my occasional coffee with lots of milk/cream and sweetener. I do not ask for water on the plane; I only drink water when it comes in sealed tubs on my meal trays.
